The Techno Marketing Department serves as a vital link between the general public, entrepreneurs, students, and other stakeholders with the NERD Centre. As a key department in the dissemination, popularization, and communication of NERDC technologies, it undertakes a wide range of activities across multiple areas to promote engagement and awareness.
The department is responsible for the development, promotion, and transfer of NERDC technologies. Its core functions include conducting training programs, demonstrations, workshops, and awareness initiatives; representing NERDC at national and international exhibitions; undertaking market research; and assessing customer needs for potential and existing technologies. Additionally, the department coordinates with government and non-governmental organizations, supports entrepreneurship development, monitors licensees, facilitates collaboration between licensees and research divisions, manages patent and trademark matters, and oversees the operations of the NERDC Technology Park and Engineering Museum.
Scope of Services
- Technology Dissemination: Introducing and promoting NERDC technologies through partnerships with government and private sector organizations.
- Training & Development: Conducting professional training programs, facilitating technology transfers, and supporting entrepreneurship development.
- Market Insight: Identifying customer needs and carrying out market research for products and potential projects.
- Industry Liaison: Coordinating participation in exhibitions and trade fairs, and acting as a bridge between licensees and research departments.
- Compliance & Monitoring: Overseeing licensee activities, including monitoring and evaluation, and managing patent and trademark matters.
- Public Engagement: Managing and coordinating activities at the NERDC Technology Park and Engineering Museum.
