Who We Are

The National Engineering Research and Development Centre (NERDC) was established in 1974 through a Parliamentary Act to bridge the gap between industrial extension services and scientific research in Sri Lanka.

Headquartered at the IDB Industrial Estate, Ekala, Ja-Ela, NERDC serves as the nation's premier institution for developing, acquiring, adapting and transferring engineering technologies — delivering direct socio-economic impact across the country.
