The IT Unit specializes in delivering reliable, innovative and scalable end to end Information Technology solutions for the Engineering researches and its users to thrive their functions.
It ensures that technology systems, networks, and applications run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with organizational goals. As a support unit, it enables efficient workflows and collaborations to work and provide reliable and secure data for decision making purposes.
Some of the core responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Network Management - Maintaining servers, cloud platforms, and communication networks to ensure seamless business operations.
- Enterprise Systems & Applications - Developing, deploying, and supporting business-critical software such as ERP, Project Management, Finance and HR systems.
- Data Governance & Security - Safeguarding sensitive corporate data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing cybersecurity measures.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery - Preparing backup systems and recovery plans to minimize downtime and protect against disruptions.
- User Support & Training - Providing helpdesk services, troubleshooting, and training employees to use IT tools effectively.
- Digital Transformation & Innovation - Exploring emerging technologies to enhance productivity.
- Security - Extend the safety of the Centre by implementing, monitoring and maintaining the CCTV network.
